Email Michael +64 9 929 0808Michael grew up in Auckland and studied law at Auckland University. During his degree he took some time out to travel during which time he lived in the UK and Ireland. Michael spent a lot of time in the countryside working with horses, on a stud farm and as polo groom. Back home he graduated with his LLB and was admitted to the bar in 1996.
He practised in general civil litigation for three years before taking up commercial law and has since concentrated on trusts, property and general commercial work.
Michael believes the best thing about being a commercial lawyer is that he gets to be involved in so many different and exciting businesses with inventors, entrepreneurs and creatives.
Michael has worked in country practices where it’s all hands to the pump. Learning to adapt, this has given them both a background in many facets of the law other than the ones they now focus on.
Legal Executive
Email Nina +64 9 929 0806Nina grew up on the North Shore and began studying her Legal Executive Diploma part time while she worked full time at a major law firm. With the completion of her diploma, she has gained considerable experience in private client work. Nina has also completed a Business Diploma in Applied Management.
Nina specialises in conveyancing but also has experience with estates, wills, trusts and commercial law. Her client-focused approach and meticulous attention to detail has helped her to create close working relationships with clients.
Away from the office, Nina enjoys travelling, hiking, spending time on the beach and good food.

Email Annemarie +64 9 929 0824Annemarie grew up in a little village called Kaingaroa Forest and attended high school in Rotorua.
After high school, she moved to Auckland to further her studies in Law and Business. Annemarie has earned her Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Business degree majoring in HR, Employment Relations and Marketing.
Annemarie joined Metro Law mid-2017 and deals with private client matters. Annemarie has experience in property including relationship property, conveyancing and complex property issues. She also has experience with commercial law, trusts and estate work. She enjoys getting to know clients on a personal level and building long lasting relationships.
In her spare time she enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends and meeting new people.
